On the evening of 15 September, the fashion brand Grama Grass confirmed with N.7 Studio that its online runway would take place on 18 September at Palazzo Guazzoni Zaccaria in Cremona, with casting set for the 17th. N.7 Studio was entrusted with the full production scope: casting, fitting, MUA and hair, transport, showroom coordination and on-site production.

Staging a show is never only about the runway. The complexity sits in everything around it. A production of this scale would normally be planned one to two months out, with each stage scheduled in sequence and each one built on the results of the last. Here there were seventy-two hours, and within them the entire operation had to be assembled and then moved, team, models, garments and equipment, from Milan to Cremona. Talent selection, casting, fittings, hair and makeup, showroom coordination, transport and production all had to run at once. No linear process, no buffer between stages, no margin for delay.

Casting began first. That same evening, more than 1,000 outreach emails went out to agencies across the industry. The timing was the hardest part of it: one week before Milan Fashion Week, with the official SS27 calendar published by the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana listing 203 appointments, among them 61 runway shows and 88 presentations, agency schedules across the city had been locked in weeks earlier. On 17 September, more than 150 carefully selected models arrived at the casting. Drawing that level of talent response in two days is not routine, and it is rarely available to a brand that is still building its position in the market, where limited budgets and recognition can make established agencies slow to respond.

The hair and makeup team of four, along with styling and fittings, moved in parallel.

Transport was the last piece to fall into place. Some vehicles were confirmed only shortly before the team was due to leave, with the coordination closed out just ahead of departure. These are the details that rarely appear on a production schedule, yet they decide whether models, garments and crew reach the same place at the same time.

Compression on this scale is not a matter of adding people. At N.7 Studio, casting, fitting and production are handled inside the same team rather than outsourced, which removes a layer between instruction and feedback and lets decisions move at the speed the schedule demands. Long-standing relationships with model agencies, hair and makeup artists and styling teams meant an email sent late at night could be answered within hours. Coordinating suppliers and vehicles between Milan and Cremona drew on resources built over years of working in this industry. What the brand asked for on the evening of 15 September landed on a system that was already running.

On 18 September, the show took place at Palazzo Guazzoni Zaccaria, a late fifteenth-century residence that retains its richly decorated eighteenth-century ceilings and a historicist restoration completed in 1920, and that today houses studio space, design education and events. The collection reached its audience through the camera. Behind it, a full production team had closed out every stage, from talent to on-site execution.
